The New Stacey-November 4, 2011

Wow, I really need to take the time to post more often.

Well, this weight loss journey has been excellent and I feel better than ever. Have currently dropped a total of 78 pounds since having Emily, 48 of which since May of this year (2011). 31 inches lost off my body as well. It feels amazing to go from a size 18-20 and now a size 10!

I purchased a pair of Express jeans a few weeks back size 12 and two weeks later they're big on me and it's time to buy another pair! I barely have a rear end now. Ugh. My mother in law came to visit this week and is amazed at all that I have done and said " look at you, you have no butt". Not sure if that's a good thing or bad. One of Sam's co-workers saw me yesterday and he said "wow, you've lost so much weight" and called me "Skinny Minnie"! You have no idea how exhilarating it feels to feel good about yourself and to tell that all your hard work and efforts are paying off!

I'm 6 pounds away from my goal weight. Would like to be there by Christmas this year. Now losing about .5 to 1 pound a week vs 3 or 4 pounds in the beginning of this process. However, my scale tells me my muscle mass, body fat percentage and bone density! My muscle mass and
bone density is increasing and my body fat% is going way down!Guess that explains why I keep
dropping dress sizes. I want a whole new wardrobe of clothes however, I'm not done yet with my journey. I will continue to strive to be healthy through exercising and eating clean. Ultimate goal is to get into the single digit dress size! I'm determined and haven't been there since my early 20's while in college.

I've been training noe for a 10k and have increased my speed as well. It's so much fun setting goals and obtaining them. Im currently on Phase 3 of training and will be able to run 6.2 miles by the weekend of Thanksgiving!!! Sam and I have also joined the YMCA and I look forward to cross training with swimming, Zumba, Pilates and Spin class.

Can't wait to see what the future holds for my weight loss journey.

The scale doesn't Lie......

To date I have lost 22 pounds and 17.5 inches off my body! Those results in 9 weeks!!!!

I made my first goal to be a certain weight by July 1st and I was successful by June 26th. I have never been prouder of myself.

I've got 2 more pounds to lose every single pound I gained during my second pregnancy!

Have set up other mini goals to help me along the way on my weight loss journey.

Hope and pray to be at my ultimate goal weight by November this year. Four more months to go! Please let this work! I will continue to try harder than anything I've ever worked for.

Tosca Reno...... I LOVE you!

I finally figured out the missing link and key to my weight loss. Eating Clean! A friend of mine had been raving about it and I was desperate to try anything at that point. I decided to buy Tosca Reno's book "Recharged, The Eat Clean Diet". It's all about eating whole/organic foods. Also exercise, water, no refined sugars or processed foods!

I cleaned out the pantry and threw away all the junk food so I wouldn't be tempted. I went grocery shopping and got lots of veggies, fruit, organic chicken, lean meats and bottled water! I threw in the towel and said goodbye to soda! I drink lots of water now and actually only water!

I have been running and eating clean now since May 4th and have had successful and exciting results!

I highly thank my friend, Su Stone, for sharing her secret with me. I also thank Tosca Reno for letting us know the secret to healthy and lifestyle changes that have surely changed my life!

My weight loss journey

The past few years I have struggled with my weight. I was always slim and trim all my life until my late 20's when I started packing on the pounds.

It all began when I met Sam, my husband now. When we started dating he wined and dined me at the greatest restaurants. I put on some weight, not a lot but when we got engaged, I was all about fitness and weight loss for the big day! I lost the weight and looked fabulous on our wedding day.

Then, after a year of marriage we started to try and have a family and nothing worked, even fertility treatments. By then, with the depression and all the fertility medications I had put on 30 pounds. I told myself, "this is enough", I've got to do something. I went to Dr Stein and ended up losing nearly 44 pounds!!! I looked fantastic!

Another great surprise came with that weight loss, a successful surprise pregnancy! Our dreams had come true. Only bad thing was that I gained a whopping 67 pounds during my pregnancy with Makenna. Two weeks after having her I was in the ER with Appendicitis. Then two weeks following that ( had my Gallbladder removed). I dropped a good bit of weight following that. I went back to Dr Stein and lost another 18 pounds and ended up pregnant with surprise pregnancy number 2!!!

I gained 52 pounds during my second pregnancy with Emily. I was on bed rest for nearly 3 months when I was pregnant with her.

I lost about 30 pound after delivering her. I've been breastfeeding Emily since birth and tried dieting and the scale wouldn't move.

It took until Emily was nearly a year old as I sit on my couch crying because I'm so disgusted an ashamed of how I look. Sobbing is more like it. Issuer that moment I knew I had to change my lifestyle and do whatever it takes to finish losing this weight and be the ole fit and slim Stacey I once was! Finally that is where my journey begins........
